Completed in 2024, this single-family dwelling, spanning 4628 square feet, exemplifies a thoughtful approach to living space. Its core design philosophy revolves around achieving sensitive habitability through the strategic use of internal courtyards, which serve to fragment the compact architectural volume and foster a seamless integration between the home's interiors and the verdant surroundings. This creates an environment where nature and modern living coalesce harmoniously.

Situated on a generously sized plot of 13 meters by 44 meters, the Machado House occupies what was once part of a larger estate's garden. This context, within a district known for its classic homes, informed the architects' decision to craft a residence that respects its heritage while offering a distinctly modern interpretation of comfort and connection to nature. The fragmentation of the main volume was a deliberate choice, allowing for the introduction of multiple green spaces that become integral parts of the living experience.

Situated in Bentonville, Arkansas, the Thaden School distinguishes itself through its progressive curriculum. The 'Wheels' program transforms theoretical concepts of physics and mechanics into tangible experiences, as students actively construct and utilize bicycles and other wheeled apparatus.
