OMAC Arquitectos has successfully concluded the JGG I Shopping Center project, a significant restoration endeavor located in Bernal, Mexico. This commercial complex, spanning 420 square meters and completed in 2025, represents a thoughtful revitalization that centers on the re-establishment of the courtyard as the primary architectural focal point. The design intent was to honor the historical significance of 19th-century architecture, where courtyards served as the heart of properties, and to weave this historical dialogue seamlessly into the contemporary fabric of the building.

The architectural vision for the JGG I Shopping Center was deeply rooted in the concept of re-signifying space. By reclaiming the courtyard's role, the architects aimed to create a vibrant, communal area that not only facilitated commercial activities but also provided a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors.
