Design Hotels HQ: A Harmonious Workspace by RHO in Berlin

Design Hotels has officially unveiled its new headquarters, a striking architectural marvel conceived by RHO, occupying the topmost level of Berlin's contemporary AXIS building. This move signifies a fresh era for the company, which previously operated from the same address for three decades. The relocation to a former industrial site near Berlin's Ostkreuz district positions the office at a vibrant nexus, offering captivating vistas of the Rummelsburger Bucht's serene waters and the dynamic urban tapestry.
The newly established office space is characterized by its remarkable five-meter-high ceilings and extensive glazing that envelops the entire floor. These design elements transform the area into an environment more akin to an expansive loft than a conventional office setting. The generous use of glass ensures an abundance of natural light, which, rather than solid walls, defines the volume and ambiance of the workspace. This design philosophy underscores a commitment to openness and inspiration, reflecting the innovative spirit of Design Hotels.
RHO's architectural vision for the Design Hotels HQ encompasses a sprawling 1335 square meters. The project was brought to fruition in 2025, with Nikita Marykov and Lennart Zemke serving as the lead architects. Their collaborative efforts have resulted in a modern interior that seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetic appeal, creating an engaging and productive atmosphere for employees. The design integrates various sophisticated elements and furniture from renowned manufacturers such as Flos, Ligne Roset, and Vipp, ensuring a premium and comfortable workspace.

The new headquarters not only provides an inspiring workspace but also embodies Design Hotels' forward-thinking approach and commitment to design excellence, setting a new benchmark for corporate environments in Berlin.
The transition to this new, strategically located space reflects Design Hotels' evolution and its continued dedication to fostering a creative and collaborative culture. The office's design prioritizes transparency and connectivity, both with its immediate surroundings and the broader urban landscape, providing a unique and stimulating environment for its team.
